There’s a nice collection of great books that, once read, will help you realize the elegance and power of the Domain Model. You really can’t go wrong starting here. Take the next logical step. Don’t stop. Keep going. Almost there. Does it ever end?

If you do snag the code scope the “Readme.txt” for a quick note on DB setup. If you are having difficulties, shoot a message into one of the usual channels. If you flat out can’t follow it, no worries, explanation posts to come.

    Yeah it's a good one. Probably not super-priority if you figured out how to do TDD from the blogosphere and various resources already out there (like I did).

    I agree about the Applied .NET DDD book, not an enjoyable read and didn't deliver very much in my view. The rest of the books are all great though, especially the one by Eric Evans.
  • I would agree that Persistance Ignorance, and POCO definitely were valuable concepts to learn. I just wish the rest of the book had been as valuable :)

    I liked the first person POV.

    Seeing a complete scenario with the associated evaluations and decisions interested me. The prose is sometimes blog-rough, but the story has value.

    I also dug (and adopted) his viewpoint on POCO and Persistance Ignorance.
  • Personally I found the Applied DDD/Patterns in C# book painful to read. I'd highly recommend giving it a look on Safari (use the free trial) before spending real $ on this book.

  • i can 2nd the recommendation for each of those except for the TDD book, but i'll take your word for it and add it to my list of books to read..
