About

The ‘bee log is authored by David Laribee. That’s me.

In short: I’m the president/co-founder of Xclaim Software. We’re a startup birthed from (effectively) an insurance company with an offering for the commercial property & casualty insurance industry. We’re an agile .NET shop. Prior to insurance, I’ve worked in software development for 10+ years in a variety of industries and job roles. The majority of my career has been spent in startup or entrepreneurial settings, but I did spend a couple of years in a large (250+ staff) IT department at Syracuse University.

Outside of my day job I like to read, speak at developer groups \ codecamps when I can, and flirt with head injuries on my track bike in the mean streets of Gotham. Here’s an assortment of random facts from the blog tag meme of late 2006.

I grew up on a family dairy farm (my first employer) near the Adirondack Park and presently reside somewhere in the East Village neighborhood of New York City with my lovely girlfriend Suzy and rotund-but-photogenic cat Cosmo.
