Welcome Acropolis
Microsoft’s Acropolis framework purports to help developer build composite smart clients. You know, the kinds of widget-based, dashboard-like applications that were the provenance of CAB and the SCSF.
I crashed a session on this at the MVP Summit. Acropolis looked interesting if not (potentially) indulgent at least for the kinds of product we’re making right now. This kind of framework might work well on the large, especially for financial services / trading desk type applications. I suppose we’ll see if it ignites another debate as did its older brother, CAB.
